ENJOY A WONDERFUL SUNDAY AT
CHISWICK HOUSE GARDENS 2010 DOG SHOW
On Sunday September 26, dogs can join their owners and gather in the grounds of beautiful Chiswick House for a day of doggy delights, wonderful doggy classes and general doggy indulgence at Chiswick House Gardens Dog Show.
This year’s headline sponsor for the second year running is leading Chiswick estate agency, Edward d’Arc, with show rings again sponsored by veterinary surgeons CJ Hall of Acton Lane, Chiswick.
Now in it’s sixth year and ever popular among celebrity dog lovers such as Clare Balding, Cath Kidston, Tom Mangold, Al Murray, and James Dreyfuss, Chiswick House Dog Show has something for everyone and is a great day out for both dogs and their owners. This year it will be one of the largest free open dog days in London.
Again this year, will be the opportunity for dogs to be entered into the various classes such as Best Puppy, Handsomest Dog and Prettiest Bitch, Best Young Handler and the popular Fancy Dress Competition. Last year record 430 dogs were entered and the winners wore their rosettes very proudly!
For those visitors who don’t fancy taking part in the classes throughout the day, there will be plenty of other activities. Dog owners can stock up on delicious dogs treats from the Doggy Days Biscuit Bakery, or even indulge their pooch in a quick manicure. Capable Canines training school will be running agility and heelwork to music demonstrations and this year owners will be able to let their dogs take part in some agility training too courtesy of The Dog Coach. The Dogs Trust parade is also always popular, with residents from their West London Harefield centre putting their best paws forward.
The Dog Show, which is organised by CHOW – Chiswick House Organised Walkers - in association with Chiswick House Friends, is held on the cricket pitch within Chiswick House Gardens (entrance via Staveley Road.) Last year over 1200 visitors attended the event, which also donates stalls to a range of charities including The Mayhew Trust Animal Home, the Dogs Trust, Many Tears, the RNLI and The Cinnamon Trust.
